On April 6th, 2018, the hockey world was devastated with the news of the bus crash of the Humboldt Broncos Junior “A” hockey team near Armley, Saskatchewan. Tragically, sixteen people passed away in the accident and thirteen more were injured.
In form true to the sport itself, the hockey community rallied behind the Humboldt community and the idea of “leaving the sticks out” for the boys from Humboldt became an international phenomenon. As well, the hockey community supported a GoFundMe campaign that would become the largest of its kind in Canada and 2nd largest globally, which Sauce Hockey was proud to support.
We’ve partnered with one of the survivors of the crash and former Humboldt Broncos player, Kaleb Dahlgren, to design two t-shirts for the anniversary of this tragic day. The proceeds of the shirts will go to support STARS Helicopters, who supported the team and staff on that day, and supports people in need every day across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
Simply put, STARS fights for life. Since they embarked on their first mission in 1985, they’ve been driven by the goal of providing people the vital care they need when they need it the most. STARS operates
